Would Jim Leonhard go to Green Bay?
This year, the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers football program have been disappointing. The Badgers are changing things up by bringing in Luke Fickell from Cincinnati. The Bearcats’ head coach will replace interim head coach Jim Leonhard who many thought would have the permanent gig. The Packers will need to shake things up in the offseason too, and they could look to Madison to fix it.
Leonhard felt blindsided by Wisconsin’s decision Sunday. However, the slight could work in Leonhard’s favor if he wants to move into the NFL coaching ranks. Leonhard was interviewed for the Packers’ defensive coordinator job in February of 2021. Joe Barry ultimately won the position.
