The Green Bay Packers have been at the center of some pretty league altering trades over the last few seasons. Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers were the last two, and while the Packers didn’t trade Aaron Jones, they effectively swapped him for Josh Jacobs.
These trades have helped set up the next generation of Green Bay football. However, according to one insider, there won’t be another trade any time soon.
Green Bay Packers Insider Rules Out Potential Trade Scenario

In a mailbag from Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, he highlighted the unlikelihood of a wide receiver trade:
Do the Packers have too many starting-caliber receivers? If so, the Steelers need a No. 2 to George Pickens. — Nanau
You’d have to pick my jaw up off the floor if the Packers trade a receiver this preseason. Do they have a surplus of guys that should play a significant role this season? Yes. Will there be times when there are too many mouths to feed and one or two are left hungry? Yes. But that’s part of what makes this offense dangerous, that 1-5 are capable of breaking out on any given day like we saw last season and teams have to prepare for all of them.
Schneidman is absolutely correct. The Packers are rich at the wide receiver position going into the 2024 season. While many wouldn’t label any one of them as a “true number one” wide receiver, they have arguably the deepest group in the league.

The Packers will be rolling with the current wide receiving group for the foreseeable future. Their goal to gel with Jordan Love for as long as possible will be key in getting this group good enough to compete for a Super Bowl.
