There were probably a lot of reasons why the Packers won their recent game versus the Bears: Christian Watson’s two TDs, the team’s 175 rushing yards, or a 18-0 fourth quarter advantage. It might also be the simple formula of protecting the ball and the quarterback.
First game in 2022 with no turnovers and no sacks allowed
For the first time this season, the Packers played a game where they did not have a turnover and their quarterback was not sacked. The last time this happened was last season in Game #16 when they had no turnovers and no sacks allowed in the 37-10 win over Minnesota.
According to pro football reference.com, the Packers have played 27 games dating back to 1977 where they did not allow a sack and had no turnovers in the same game. The team had a 26-1 record in those games. Their only loss? In 2005 they had a no sacks allowed/no turnover game versus the Vikings but lost that contest 23-20.
In the Super Bowl era (since 1966), the Packers’ 27 games with no turnovers and no sacks allowed ranks tied for 14th in the league. The Colts’ franchise tops the list with 39 games followed by Miami (38), the Chargers (36), New England (34), Dallas (33) and Buffalo (33).

From the 2020 season through games of Week #13 of this season, there have been 63 times when a team had no turnovers and did not allow a sack in the same game. The Packers lead this stat category with seven games and a 7-0 record in those games. In fact, of the 63 games, teams that accomplished this feat are 57-6, a winning percentage of .905.
Here are the teams with the most games since 2020-2022 with no turnovers and no sacks allowed in the same game.

For the record, the Packers have had 15 games during the Aaron Rodgers starting QB era (2008-2022) with no sacks allowed/no turnovers in the same game. Those 15 games rank tied for third in the league. The Pack was 15-0 in those games.
Is it the simple formula for victory as the Packers move forward?
