The Green Bay Packers officially announced one of their tight ends was heading to the injured reserve Monday. The Packers have seen several players, including starters, battle injuries during training camp.
Most of the Packers’ key players and starters have remained healthy through the preseason. The Packers are still waiting on Rashan Gary to return to drills at practice. Linebacker De’Vondre Campbell missed several days of practice last week with an injury.
Tyler Davis, who was listed as the Packers’ second-string tight end before the Cincinnati Bengals game, suffered a torn ACL against the Bengals. Head coach Matt LaFleur said after the game the team would miss Davis, hinting that he’d be placed on injured reserve before the season. But the team didn’t make a corresponding roster move until Monday.

Davis will be a massive loss for the Packers this season. The Packers will need to rely on rookie tight ends Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave to get the job done this season.
