NFL news: There’s going to be a lot of pressure on Jordan Love’s shoulders this coming season. After all, he is following the footsteps of one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. Let’s also not forget that even before Aaron Rodgers took over the helm from the Green Bay Packers, he succeeded a dude named Brett Favre. It goes without saying that at this point, the 240year-old has some extremely big shoes to fill.
NFL News: Matt LaFleur Gives Jordan Love Indesputable Vote of Confidence
One thing Jordan Love going for him is that he has the unwavering confidence of coach Matt LaFleur. The Super Bowl-winning coach recently spoke out about Love’s current status entering the new season. Clearly, LaFleur strongly believes that his young QB has what it takes to carry this entire offense in 2023:
“There’s a lot of things I’d like to see out of him,” LaFleur said, via Eric Edholm of NFL.com. “It’s more or less just the process of becoming better each and every day and the command that he has. Certainly, you want to give him every opportunity.“You can’t give him enough reps. Just making those incremental improvements and becoming more consistent on a daily basis. I’m really excited. He definitely has complete command of our offense. There’s no doubt about it. He’s put the work in, he knows the ins and outs. Now it’s going to apply that in a real situation.”
