The Green Bay Packers got the true “Aaron Rodgers experience” his last few years in Green Bay. His off-field choices received just as much attention as his on-field accomplishments.
At times Rodgers can say make brutally honest statements that will rub others the wrong way. Today something similar to that happened.
Former Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Makes Controversial Statement After New York Jets’ OTAs

According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic:
Aaron Rodgers on the pressure to win:
“If I don’t do what I’m capable of doing, then we’re all probably going to be out of here.” #jets
Rodgers put the accomplishments (or lack there of) of the Jets’ season squarely on his shoulders with that one comment. He is taking full responsibility for not only their win/loss record, but the jobs of those around him.
Is Rodgers wrong? Quarterback is the single most important position in all team sports. So honestly? He’s probably not far off, however, to say that in public isn’t the best look. At the end of the day it is still a team game and there are 11 personnel who will run out on the field when the Jets are on offense.
“If I don’t do what I know I’m capable of doing, we’re all probably going to be out of here. I like that kind of pressure, though.”

It Is All Or Nothing For The Jets With Aaron Rodgers

The Jets brought Rodgers in for one reason. To win a championship. The roster felt they were one elite quarterback away from being an elite contender in this league.
With the New York Jets opening the season against the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers on “Monday Night Football,” the NFL put Aaron Rodgers’ return from injury in prime time.
Given what he has been doing during organized team activities (OTAs) during the offseason schedule, the Jets’ 40-year-old quarterback is on track to start that game (Sept. 8) fully healthy.
A fully healthy Rodgers will put the Jets right into the playoff conversation and possibly Super Bowl conversation.
