The Green Bay Packers have lost the opportunity to sign another veteran wide receiver on this year’s free agency market. Head coach Matt LaFleur suggested the Packers would look at adding a veteran wide receiver after OTAs this spring. The Packers’ pass-catching roster is made up of rookies and second-year players.
A former Green Bay Packers target, Cole Beasley, signs with the Giants
According to Mike Garafolo with the NFL Network, the New York Giants have signed Cole Beasley to their roster.
The #Giants are signing WR Cole Beasley, sources say. He reunites with Brian Daboll, his former offensive coordinator with the #Bills, and adds another veteran target for Daniel Jones.

Beasley was considered a top choice for the Packers to sign last season when they were in the market for a veteran wide receiver. Beasley wound up signing with the Buffalo Bills.
Beasley is another name the Packers will have to cross off their list of veteran wide receivers the team can add. Options are becoming limited after DeAndre Hopkins signed with the Tennessee Titans Sunday.
There are still a few choices LaFleur could pick from to help Jordan Love in his transition year. Kenny Golladay, Julio Jones, Byron Pringle, and Jarvis Landry are the top wide receiver left who are still free agents.
