The Green Bay Packers have seen a lot of turnover at the wide receiver position in the past few years. One former Packers wide receiver has a chance to be with the Atlanta Falcons for the regular season. The Packers’ groups at wide receiver and tight end are full of rookie and second-year players.
The Packers lost two starting wide receivers, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, to the New York Jets in free agency this offseason. Last offseason saw the Packers trade Davante Adams, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. Another wide receiver from the 2022 offseason is looking to join a new NFL team.
The Atlanta Falcons are adding a former Green Bay Packer for TC
According to a report from the XFL, Chris Blair is being added to the list of players trying out for the Atlanta Falcons in training camp. According to Steven Gaither with HBCU Game Day, Blair showed off impressive skills in the XFL this season:
“Chris Blair spent last season with the D.C. Defenders, helping the team make it all the way to the XFL title game. He caught 25 passes in 10 games, racking up 584 yards for a blazing 23.3 average per catch. He had grabs of 70 and 86 yards and scored three touchdowns on the season.”
Blair was with the Packers from January 2021 through May 2022. He was cut so the Packers could add tight end, Eli Wolf. Now he will get another shot at the NFL with the Falcons.
