The Green Bay Packers recently showed interest in adding a former Minnesota Vikings running back that’s currently on the free agent market. The Packers are always looking to improve their already strong backfield, which boasts Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon as their one and two backs, respectively.
The Packers could use help at the running back position by adding another player to bring in on passing downs. The team recently looked at a former rival player that could do just that.
According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Packers brought in A.J. Rose for a workout Sunday.

Could the Green Bay Packers sign Dalvin Cook’s former teammate?

Rose is a UDFA initially signed by the Vikings after the 2021 draft. He was waived by the Vikings in 2022 and has spent time with the Los Angeles Rams. Rose has no stats in the NFL.
The former Kentucky running back is one former Vikings running back who is a free agent. However, he’s not the most known. Dalvin Cook has yet to sign with a team yet.
Cook doesn’t seem like he’s on the Packers’ radar to possibly sign for this season. We’ll see if the Packers add his former teammate, Rose, in the coming days.
