The Milwaukee Bucks are an older basketball team. Meanwhile, their rivals, the Cleveland Cavaliers, are a time on the rise in the NBA. According to Sam Amico on Twitter, the Bucks’ rivals are open to trading guard Darius Garland. This is one of many NBA trade rumors that comes as a major surprise.
NBA Trade Rumors 2023: Could Cavaliers Move Darius Garland?
It feels as if Garland will be a part of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ core for years to come. It would be a huge mistake for Cleveland to confirm these NBA Trade rumors. During the regular season, he averaged 21.6 PPG, 2.7 RPG, and 7.8 APG in 69 games played. Darius Garland is 23 years old and hasn’t even entered the prime of his NBA career yet.
The Milwaukee Bucks would be thrilled to see him out of the division and potentially the Eastern Conference entirely if the Cavaliers decided to make this blunder.
But what would Cleveland potentially want in return, and where would he go? Those questions remain to be answered.
There were also NBA trade rumors that center Jarrett Allen was being shopped this offseason because of how poorly he played against the New York Knicks and his cap hit. Allen is owed $20 million through 2025.
Heading into 2023-2024, the Cleveland Cavaliers should be the biggest challengers to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Central division. Yet, if they are going to make bone-headed decisions to break up the Donovan Mitchell-Darius Garland backcourt, then who knows what they will be?
Evan Mobley is another young player on that team, and Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo has praised him before because of his potential. This team could continue to contend if it’s not split up prematurely. Expect Allen moved this offseason before Garland.
