NBA rumors: In terms of big names that are still available in NBA free agency, six-time All-Star Blake Griffin has to be sitting near the top of the list. However, there’s no denying that the 34-year-old is no longer in his prime and that he’s now just a shadow of the high-flying aerial acrobat he once was, which is probably why he still remains without a team up until this point.

NBA Rumors: Celtics ‘Have Interest’ in Bringing Back Blake Griffin

This might all change soon. According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Boston Celtics “have interest” in potentially bringing Griggin back for another season. Griffin suited up for Boston last season where he averaged 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in 13.9 minutes off the bench. He was far from a key player for the Celtics and their run to the Eastern Conference Finals last term, but he’s obviously done enough to make the front office consider offering him a new deal.

While nothing appears to be imminent at this point, don’t be surprised if the Celtics announce the signing of the former Rookie of the Year before the start of the new season.

NBA Rumors: Should Bucks Consider Blake Griffin?

While the Milwaukee Bucks will be better off trying to find a backup point guard for Jrue Holiday, it also wouldn’t hurt if they were to shore up their frontcourt. The Bucks don’t have much cap room available, which is why Griffin, who will likely be available on a veteran’s minimum deal, could be a good fit for them. Griffin has a ton of playoff experience under his belt, and his veteran presence in the locker room certainly won’t hurt the team.

It is worth noting, however, that the Bucks already have 15 players on their roster, which means that they will need to make room for Griffin if they are serious about signing him.
