NBA news: If you were asked who the greatest shooting guard of all time is, the first name that would come to mind is Michael Jordan. After all, he is the GOAT — or at least a lot of folks out there consider him to be.
Now if you start a discussion about the greatest two guards in the history of the sport, players such as Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and James Harden, to name a few, come to mind. For his part, however, former Milwaukee Bucks guard Jeff Teague has a very interesting take on this subject.
NBA News: Jeff Teague on Dwyane Wade’s Legacy: ‘Rings Don’t Matter to Me’

In a recent interview for Complex Sports, Teague came out with a contentious take on why he’s picking James Harden over Dwyane Wade in terms of their respective legacies. Teague, who himself won a title with the Bucks in 2021, believes that overall, Harden beats out D-Wade.
Unlike the Miami Heat icon, though, Harden does not have three NBA championships to his name. He has zero. Be that as it may, this fact does not hold any significance for Teague:
“Rings don’t matter to me,” Teague said. “… When I go to the park, I see a little kid playing like Harden. I don’t really see little kids playing like D. Wade”

Wade just caught a savage stray from Jeff Teague here. Obviously, Teague, who has had the privilege of going up against both Wade and Harden, is a much bigger fan of the latter.
NBA News: James Harden Over Dwyane Wade?

In his illustrious 16-year career, Wade racked up 13 All-Star appearances, eight All-NBA team selections, three all-defensive team nods, a Finals MVP title, an All-Star Game MVP trophy, the scoring title in 2009, a spot in the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and of course, three championship rings.
Harden, on the other hand, has an equally stellar resume. He’s a 10-time All-Star, seven-time All-NBA team member, a Sixth Man of the Year winner, a three-time scoring champion, a two-time NBA assist king, and the 2017-18 NBA MVP. Similar to Wade, he was also selected in the 75th Anniversary squad. The one thing missing from his trophy cabinet is a championship trophy — something that apparently, doesn’t hold much weight, per Jeff Teague.
