The Milwaukee Brewers had a fun weekend against the New York Mets that resulted in them sweeping the New York Mets. There was plenty of drama and entertainment over these three games, but also the Brew Crew played exceptionally well. Once the series concluded Willy Adames issued a statement regarding his team’s intentions for the 2024 season.

It was another interesting off-season for the Brewers as they let Carlos Santana walk in free agency and traded away Corbin Burnes, Tyrone Taylor, Adrian Houser, and Mark Canha. Despite this they added a lot of under the radar youngsters that ultimately amounted to 12 players making their first Opening Day roster this year.
For Willy Adames he is a veteran on this team and he also is in a contract year. However his primary focus right now is on the Brewers and helping them win ballgames.

Looking closer at the Milwaukee Brewers offensive numbers against the New York Mets.

Over the weekend the Brewers played to their strengths. Pitching was great, defense was stellar, and the offense played to their identity of getting on base, utilizing their speed, and putting pressure on opposing pitchers. When all was said and done Milwaukee’s offensive accumulated 33 hits, 10 walks, 14 runs, and eight stolen bases. On Saturday they had six different players with multi hit games and on Sunday they had four.
Up next for the Brewers is the Minnesota Twins.

Milwaukee will have an off day on Monday and then will start a two series at home against the Minnesota Twins. Jakob Junis will be on the hill for the home opener and Joe Ross the finale. The Twins went 2-1 over the weekend while playing the Kansas City Royals, but suffered a big blow when Royce Lewis sustained a quad injury sending him to the injured list.
