LeBron James Releases Statement on Son Bronny James’ Medical Emergency

According to CBS Sports, LeBron and Savannah James released the following statement through a family spokesperson:
“We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information. LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
Most importantly, it sounds like Bronny is okay and will make a full recovery.
The situation brings back memories of the Buffalo Bills versus Cincinnati Bengals game last season when Bills’ safety Demar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field. His life was saved by the Bills’ medical staff, who were recently the recipients of an ESPY Award that was presented to them by Hamlin himself.
Bronny James is a freshman at USC. It is not yet known whether or not this incident will impact when he will be able to play this upcoming season. Of course, his health and future must take priority.
