Milwaukee Brewers fans were on top of the world one day ago as they scored eight unanswered runs against the Chicago Cubs and erased a six run deficit. That quickly changed when they let a potential second come from behind victory escape them a day later on Tuesday, July 4.
On independence day the Brewers trailed the Cubs by a score of 6-4 entering the ninth inning. A Christian Yelich RBI single and William Contreras SAC fly tied the game at six and sent the game into extra innings.
For the Milwaukee Brewers disaster struck in both the 10th and 11th innings. With the game tied at 6 and one out in the 10th inning Owen Miller hit a single to left field. Third base Jason Lane elected to send Andruw Monasterio home in which he was easily thrown out and then Owen Miller was tagged out at second base after he over slid the base.
An inning later, this time trailing by a run, the Brewers had the tying run in Owen Miller on third base with just one out. Brice Turang hit a shallow fly ball to left field and again Jason Lane was faced with a tough decision to send a runner home or not. He chose to send Owen Miller home in which he was easily tagged out in what was an inning ending double play.
Following this demoralizing defeat Milwaukee Brewers fans took to Twitter to discuss the two decisions from third base coach Jason Lane.

Would have been better off if Jason Lane had been thrown out with the Cubs first base coach. 2 awful sends in extras.
