A Look at the Challenging remaining Pre-All-Star Break Schedule
The Bucks remaining schedule up until the all-star game looks brutal. But at least we are more than halfway to the long, arduous NBA playoffs.
The Milwaukee Bucks have ten games before the all-star break. The NBA All-Star game is scheduled for Feb. 18th.
The NBA midway point is like the MLB midway point as it runs well beyond the halfway point. For the NBA the all-star break happens at/around game 59 while the MLB break is usually at/around game 110.
The team is currently 46 games into their 82 game season. It feels and seems like they will be a top four seed in the eastern conference. Poor health has been the watch word for the first half of the season. The major coaching change the team made in the offseason, and now again in the regular season, will be interesting to watch. Will the addition of former Marquette Alum Doc Rivers be the final piece to a championship season puzzle?
But what about the schedule? Does it get any easier? Harder? Let’s check it out.

“On the Road Again”
Another worthwhile comparison with the Bucks is the Packers. As long as the Packers are in a terrible NFC North, they have a shot. (Even though the Lions now look like they’ll be tough.)It works the same with Milwaukee- as long as they are in a terrible Central division, they have a shot.
The Bucks play their next five games on the road. The road has not been as kind to Milwaukee. They are (11-9) away from the Fiserv. Their opponents are the Nuggets, the Trailblazers, the Mavs, the Jazz and then the Suns.
Milwaukee Bucks Best Stretch
After the five road games, Milwaukee then comes back home for five straight home games. At home the Bucks are (21-5).
On Feb. 8th (the NBA trading deadline) Milwaukee hosts the Timberwolves. The Wolves will have played Chicago and will hopefully be tired. Then the next night the Bucks host the Hornets. Charlotte currently is (5-18) on the road.
Then the team will finally get a couple of days off to practice and work with new Head Coach Doc Rivers. The Bucks don’t play again until Feb. 12th. Then they’ll take on the Denver Nuggets at home.
Here is the game preview for that first Nuggets Match-Up
Final Guess on the Bucks Record
I’ll guess: 55-27.
In a shortened 2020-2021 season Milwaukee was 46-26. They were the third seed.
Last season the Bucks were an NBA-best (58-24). Of course they did go on to lose in the first round of the NBA playoffs. It just feels like Milwaukee will be in it. But can they break-out and win over 60 games? That seems pretty unlikely.
We’ll have to see if the team makes future roster moves before the NBA trade deadline.
The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 8th. Keep your eyes here on wisportsheroics for up-to-date Bucks news and trade rumors.
