The moment Patrick Beverley learned that he was joining the Milwaukee Bucks, one of the biggest concerns he had was having to deal with Damian Lillard. These two have had a bit of history between them, which apparently, resulted in some real-life beef between the two ultimate competitors.
It appears that Beverley and Lillard have now settled their differences, but it does not take away from the fact that these two used to be sworn enemies.
Patrick Beverley Gets Real on Previous Beef With Milwaukee Bucks Teammate Damian Lillard
Speaking on a recent episode of his own podcast, the Pat Bev Pod, Beverley took the time to open up about his relationship with Lillard. Apparently, Dame was the first player in the NBA that wanted to put the hurt on him:
“I’ve never had a player in my history, in my career that I ever beef with, has smoke with, defended well, say he wanted to whoop my a**,” Beverley said. “Dame was the first.”
Beverley isn’t exactly the most well-loved individual on the basketball court so I’m pretty sure there have been more than a few guys out there who have dreamed of squaring off against the feisty veteran. However, based on his own admission here, it is clear that his feud with Lillard was as real as it gets.
Settling the Score
The important part, however, is that Lillard and Beverley have now put their issues to bed. Both men made an effort to clear the air, which Pat Bev also spoke about in his podcast:

There’s nothing like a quest for an NBA title to help settle the score between two now-former enemies.
