All-Star point guard Damian Lillard is no stranger to doing things on the court that trend online. But just recently, the Milwaukee Bucks star has made fans go crazy because of his latest commercial involving Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.
Lillard first entered the NBA as the Portland Trail Blazers’ sixth overall pick in the 2012 Draft. From there, he established himself as the franchise’s number one option in the 11 seasons he played in Rip City. However, the front office’s inability to create a championship-worthy roster around Dame led him to seek greener pastures.
During the previous offseason, Portland traded Lillard for a package headlined by Jrue Holiday in a three-team deal with the Bucks and Phoenix Suns. This positioned the guard with All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo in a move that broke the internet almost a year ago.
After going through the regular season, Milwaukee finished with the third seed and the right to face Tyrese Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers. After six games, though, the Bucks were eliminated from contention, mainly due to injuries suffered by both Antetokounmpo and Lillard.
At this point in time, the front office will have to navigate through a tricky offseason that involves an aging roster, a lack of assets that can be used in a trade, and a pair of picks in the 2024 NBA Draft. Meanwhile, Lillard is busy with his non-basketball commitments, like making music and taking care of his family.
