The Milwaukee Bucks announced on Sunday that they have requested waivers on the contracts of not one, but two of their two-way players. Marques Bolden and Linell Wigginton are now set to be released by the team, thereby leaving 22-year-old point guard TyTy Washington Jr. as the only active roster player with a two-way contract for Milwaukee.
These moves will also clear up two roster spots for the Bucks, which has more than a few fans a tad excited.
Major Moves Coming for Milwaukee Bucks?
To be clear, the Bucks are waving two two-way roster spots. Per league policy, the two-way salaries of players will automatically be converted to guaranteed salaries if they remain under contract beyond January 7, which likely explains the timing of the team’s decisions on Bolden and Wigginton.
Be that as it may, some supporters believe that these roster decisions could be a precursor for Milwaukee as they look to bolster their roster ahead of the February trade deadline.
At this point, there’s really no way to tell what the front office is planning to do. At the end of the day, these moves could end up as relatively insignificant in terms of the overall impact on the roster. However, some fans believe that the Bucks could be gearing up for something big.

Kai Jones, who recently got waived by the Charlotte Hornets following a controversial offseason, is clearly a popular player among Bucks fans. it is unclear, however, if the Bucks actually have a standing interest in the former 19th overall pick.
