Malik Beasley has been on quite a roll with the Milwaukee Bucks this season. The fact that he’s knocking down a career-best 47.0 percent from distance on 6.4 attempts per game is a clear testament to this notion.
For his part, however, Beasley credits his success to his teammates.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Malik Beasley Sounds Off on Consistency
Beasley conceded that he’s currently in one of his best forms throughout his NBA career.
At the moment, the 27-year-old is averaging 11.8 points, which is a far cry from his career-best 20.7 points per game during his time with the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, during that (half) season, Beasley shot 42.6 from beyond the arc, which was his previous career-best mark. He’s improved on that clip significantly this year by averaging 3.0 triples per game on 47.0 percent shooting.
“Definitely it’s been one of my best years consistently,” he said. “I’ve had years when I get hot, and then some games I go 2-for-8 or 2-for-10, but I think it becomes easier when you have guys on the floor that I’m with. I’ve never been so happy to get in the corner because that’s where the shot is.”

As Beasley said, much of the credit has to go to his teammates. Specifically, it’s the Bucks’ superstars that have afforded Beasley so much time and space, particularly in the corner pocket. With opposing defenses gravitating towards Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard, Beasley has found himself more open than he’s been used to in his career.
It’s now been a matter of Beasley knocking down his shots when they come — something that he has evidently gotten so consistently good at this year.
