There was no shortage of superstar power on Saturday night as the Milwaukee Bucks hosted the Dallas Mavericks at the Fiserv Forum. For the first time ever, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard faced off against Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving in what was truly an entertaining battle between four of the top stars in the game today.
In the end, however, it was Milwaukee that prevailed, 132-125.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard Vocal on Star-Powered Matchup

Lillard spoke to the press after the game and one of the questions he was faced with centered around the myriad of superstars during Saturday’s high-octane matchup — all four of whom did all they could to impose their will on the game.
“I mean, obviously when we all see each other we know what kind of night it’s going to be,” Lillard said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “Ultimately you want your team to come out on top. But I think we’ve all, especially myself, Kyrie, Giannis – Luka is a little bit younger than us – but we’ve done it for a long time now.”
It was Kyrie Irving who led the scoring for the Mavs, going off on a team-high 39 points on 16-of-29 shooting. He also logged four rebounds, six assists, a steal, and three three-pointers. Luka Doncic wasn’t far behind with 35 points on 15-of-26 from the field, to go along with nine rebounds, nine assists, and four triples.

Dame wasn’t bad himself either. The seven-time All-Star made his presence felt with 27 points, four treys, three rebounds, and 12 assists for his second double-double for Milwaukee.
At the end of the day, however, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo who ruled. The former back-to-back MVP proved that he was still the top superstar among the bunch, leading the Bucks to its fourth straight win. Giannis finished with a game-high 40 points on 18-of-26 shooting, 15 rebounds, seven dimes, two steals, and a block.
More importantly, the Bucks came home with the W against a now 9-4 Mavs side.
