The Milwaukee Bucks have gotten off to slow starts multiple times in their past few games. This was not the case on Tuesday night, though, as they turned the tables on the Miami Heat.
This time around, it was Milwaukee who opened the contest with an early surge, allowing themselves to secure a lead in the opening stages of this Eastern Conference showdown.
Khris Middleton Speaks Out on Milwaukee Bucks Holding Off Heat
By the end of the first quarter, the Bucks were up 31-22. Their advantage would not last long, though, with the shorthanded Heat battling back through adversity.
It became a tight encounter in the second half but ultimately, Milwaukee held on to a 131-124 win at Miami’s Kaseya Center.
After the game, Bucks star Khris Middleton got brutally honest on his team’s hot start, as well as how they allowed the Heat to crawl back at make a game out of this:
“We started off great,” Middleton said. “But we just didn’t withstand it. It’s hard. You’re not gonna knock a team down in the first quarter or the first five minutes. They did a great job coming back. We did a great job keeping our composure on their runs and find a way to close this thing out.”

This was another tough test for the Bucks, who had no other choice but to withstand Miami’s surge. They passed with flying colors this time, as Middleton and Co. secured their seventh win in their last eight games.
