The Milwaukee Bucks played their third preseason contest on Tuesday, which resulted in a surprise 124-101 blowout loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard played their second game together in Milwaukee’s new era, but even that wasn’t enough to help Milwaukee hold off a relentless OKC side.
Khris Middleton was unavailable yet again on Tuesday night.
Khris Middleton Looking to Make Milwaukee Bucks Preseason Debut Vs. Grizzlies

Khris Middleton sat out again against the Thunder as the three-time All-Star continues to recover from offseason surgery on his injured knee. Milwaukee has been taking it slow on their star swingman and it was no different for Tuesday’s contest.
Middleton himself previously admitted that he’s “annoyed” by how slow his progress has been in terms of how the medical staff allowing him to take the next steps in his road to recovery. The fact that he missed yet another preseason game on Tuesday must have only added to the frustration.

The good news for Milldeton is that according to head coach Adrian Griffin, he expects the 32-year-old to play at least one preseason game. His last chance to do so will be on Friday against the Memphis Grizzlies:
“It appears that he will get in his one preseason game at Fiserv Forum on Friday. Griffin said before the game the plan remains to have Middleton get in one preseason game and that is the last one left on the schedule, although there is still the scrimmage,” wrote Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

At this point, it remains unclear if Middleton will actually be able to suit up against Memphis. It would obviously be ideal for the Bucks if he was able to play in at least one preseason contest before they kick off their campaign on October 26 against the Philadelphia 76ers. Then again, it still would not be a complete shock if Milwaukee still opts to hold him out for their final preseason game.
