It’s as if the Milwaukee Bucks have made a habit of making history of late. Well, Thursday night was no different as Khris Middleton achieved yet another milestone that allowed him to climb the franchise leaderboards.
After dishing out three assists in a 118-114 win over the Orlando Magic, Middleton is now third on the Bucks’ all-time assists list (h/t Gabe Stoltz of Brew Hoop).
Khris Middleton Makes Milwaukee Bucks History
Middleton entered Thursday’s contest with 2,688 assists to his name. He was just one behind Bucks icon Sydney Moncrief, who Middleton has now passed for the third spot on this esteemed list.
Now with 2,691 dimes in his career, Middleton is 581 assists behind Paul Pressey, who is No. 2 with 3,272 career assists.
In case you were wondering, it’s Giannis Antetokounmpo who sits atop Milwaukee’s all-time assists tallyboard. The former back-to-back MVP dished out another six dimes on Thursday against Orlando, which now brings up his tally to 3,525 career assists.
Unless Middleton all of a sudden becomes an elite playmaking point guard, it’s very unlikely that he is able to catch Giannis’ all-time record. The most Middleton can hope for is No. 2 on the list, which obviously isn’t a bad achievement at all.
