Milwaukee Bucks big man Brook Lopez did not have one of his offensive explosions on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks — certainly a far cry from his 39-point effort on Nov. 24 against the Washington Wizards.
However, as usual, the former All-Star was a menace on the defensive end, finishing with three blocks and three steals as he helped the Bucks secure a 146-122 victory over the Knicks.
Brook Lopez Makes Milwaukee Bucks History
Lopez’s three blocks on the evening were historic. He entered the game as the fourth-best shot blocker in Milwaukee Bucks franchise history. The 35-year-old has now climbed to third:

As the above tweet indicates, Lopez surpassed former Bucks center Harvey Catchings for the third spot on the esteemed list. Right now, Lopez has recorded 711 blocks in his six-plus seasons in Milwaukee.
Next up for Lopez is Alton Lister, who has 804 blocks to his name, which is definitely an achievable mark for the two-time All-Defense center.
The man sitting atop the list, however, is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who has swatted away 933 blocks, and counting. Lopez simply won’t be catching that record.
Record or no record, though, you can be sure that Brook Lopez is going to be a key figure for Milwaukee this season — including Thursday’s IST semifinal matchup against the Indiana Pacers in Las Vegas.
