Just when Khris Middleton appeared to be closing in on his peak form for the Milwaukee Bucks, his campaign gets derailed by what could be a serious injury.
Middleton was seen walking out of the Footprint Arena on Tuesday night in a walking boot and with crutches after suffering a concerning ankle injury against the Phoenix Suns. While initial x-rays have come out negative, it’s still possible that the Bucks will be without their starting small forward for a considerable period.
WATCH: Exact Moment Milwaukee Bucks Star Khris Middleton Suffered Injury

Middleton lasted just eight minutes on Tuesday night before he was forced to exit the game. Below is a clip of the exact moment the 32-year-old suffered what has now been diagnosed as an ankle sprain:

That did not look good at all.
You can clearly see Middleton’s left foot twisting nastily as he landed on Kevin Durant’s foot. The Bucks star was seen wincing in pain as he lay on the floor.
Even Durant knew that the injury was a bad one as he turned back to check on Middleton. KD must have felt Middleton landing on his foot, and being that Durant is not unused to all sorts of injury, he probably had a hunch that this wasn’t good.

After Tuesday’s disappointing loss to the Suns, the Bucks are back in action on Thursday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. It remains to be seen if Middleton will be available for that one.
Milwaukee also plays two straight back-to-back sets so it’s almost certain that Middleton will be forced to sit out a game or two — if not more — in the next week or so.
