After a breakout season, the Green Bay Packers are hoping to keep their momentum going by injecting a new batch of talented rookies to the lineup. Turns out, though, they can play other sports as well
The Packers had an active 2024 NFL Draft, making 11 selections to bolster their roster. Their first-round pick was Jordan Morgan from Arizona, who has strong athleticism and balance but some questions about his arm length for the tackle position. In the second round, they added lineback Edgerrin Cooper from Texas A&M, a versatile defender who excelled in coverage, run defense, and pass rush. The Packers also selected safety Javon Bullard from Georgia, known for his coverage skills and experience in the slot.

Other notable picks include running back MarShawn Lloyd from USC, who offers explosive running ability but needs work in pass protection, and quarterback Michael Pratt from Tulane, who could push to be the backup to Jordan Love. The Packers continued to add depth on the offensive line with Jacob Monk from Duke and Travis Glover from Georgia State.
Overall, the Packers’ draft class addressed key needs and added talented players who fit their scheme. Meanwhile, Green Bay will be hoping their top pick, Jordan Morgan, can develop into a starting-caliber offensive lineman, with the ability to potentially play both tackle and guard roles.
