Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton is looking more and more like his old self of late. The three-time All-Star still isn’t there yet, though, as he continues to work his way back to full strength following offseason knee surgery.
At this point in the season, however, there’s no denying that Middleton is taking the right steps towards recapturing his old form.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Khris Middleton’s Injury Update

Middleton spoke to reporters on Monday ahead of Milwaukee’s In-Season Tournament do-or-die quarterfinal showdown against the New York Knicks on Tuesday night. The 32-year-old provided a timely update on his status, and Bucks fans will be glad to hear it:
“I think we’re still on the same timeframe,” he said. “Each day, each week has been a step in the right direction. No setbacks besides that one rare game that I had to miss but other than that, been feeling great. Just trying to get my legs underneath me. Trying to get the flow, the rhythm of the game.”

Middleton is referring to Milwaukee’s Nov. 26 win against the Portland Trail Blazers as the contest that he was forced to sit out. In the three games he’s played in since that night off, the 6-foot-7 forward has averaged 12.7 points on 46.9 percent shooting, 5.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.0 steals, while also knocking down 1.3 triples at a 36.4-percent clip.
Through this recent stretch, Middleton is playing 24.9 minutes per game, which is still a far cry from the 30+ minutes he usually averages when healthy. The Bucks are clearly taking a very cautious approach with their star swingman, which could explain the minutes cap.
“Hopefully I start getting out there a little bit longer and I’m able to do what I do,” Middleton said.

It should only be a matter of time before Middleton gets back to full strength. Bucks supporters are hoping that he’s able to return to his championship-winning form from a couple of years back. If he is able to do that, then Milwaukee could prove to be an unstoppable force.
