Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton has been making significant strides on his road to recovery from offseason surgery. He’s been playing a lot better of late, which coincides with the fact that the three-time All-Star has played at least 32 minutes in the last five games.
Unfortunately for Middleton and the Bucks, all the momentum he has been building up could face a significant roadblock.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Khris Middleton Dealing With Multiple Injuries
Middleton looked fine on Monday as the Bucks fell to the Indiana Pacers at home, 122-113, finishing with 21 points on a highly-efficient 9-of-13 from the field, to go along with three rebounds, six assists, a steal, and two triples in 32 minutes of action. However, it appears that Middleton has not come out of the loss unscathed.
The Bucks have released the injury report for Wednesday’s rematch against the Pacers in Indiana, and there could be a cause for concern for Milwaukee fans on the Middleton front. This is after the 32-year-old was listed as questionable to play due to right knee injury management and a left wrist sprain.
Should Middleton end up missing Wednesday’s clash, this will be the first time that he will be sidelined since December 16, which was the first night of a back-to-back set.
The right knee issue is the same one he’s been dealing with all season long. It was this same knee that had to undergo a cleanup procedure early in the summer, and the Bucks have been very cautious in making sure that there have been no setbacks.
The sprained left wrist, however, appears to be a new injury, which he may have suffered against the Pacers on Monday.
Finally, it is worth noting that Wednesday’s game is also the first night of a back-to-back set with the Bucks taking on the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. This further puts Middleton’s availability against the Pacers into question.
