The Milwaukee Bucks did not have the services of Khris Middleton during Sunday’s incredible comeback win against the Portland Trail Blazers. The three-time All-Star was unable to suit up due to injury, which appears to be serious enough to force him to miss at least one more game.
Khris Middleton’s Status for Milwaukee Bucks Showdown Vs. Miami Heat
The Bucks have already submitted their injury report for Tuesday’s matchup against the Miami Heat and unfortunately, Middleton has been listed as questionable to play. The official diagnosis for the 32-year-old is tendinitis in his left Achilles, which is the same injury that forced him to sit out Sunday’s win against Portland.
The problem with Achilles injuries is that they’re quite unpredictable, which means that Middleton could be out for an extended period because of this knock. However, the fact that he hasn’t been ruled out for Tuesday’s marquee contest also indicates that the injury might not be overly serious.
Given Middleton’s injury status, however, expect the Bucks to be extremely cautious with this latest injury. Milwaukee likely won’t let their star swingman play unless he’s close to a hundred percent healthy — even if it’s in a game against one of their top rivals in the Eastern Conference.
If Middleton is unable to go, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard will have to do most of the heavy lifting again against Jimmy Butler and Co.
