Just recently, the Milwaukee Bucks overcame the New Orleans Pelicans in a dominant 141-117 win against the Western Conference team. It’s also the last game of Joe Prunty as interim head coach before Doc Rivers takes over soon.

In that particular contest, the duo of Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard combined for 56 points to lead the Bucks to victory. The Greek Freak connected 68 percent from the field, while grabbing 12 boards, dishing four assists, and getting two steals in almost 29 minutes.

Meanwhile, Lillard had 26 points to complement Antetokounmpo’s 30-point outburst, Brook Lopez added 24 of his own, and Bobby Portis made 20 points. This equates to four players on the Bucks’ roster to make 20 or more points during that impressive win against the Pelicans.

On the other hand, Brandon Ingram led the Pelicans with 26 points, while Zion Williamson added 23 points of his own. All in all, the Bucks were definitely the better team by the end of the game.

In the postgame interview with the media, Prunty shares his thoughts about the Bucks’ impressive win over the Pelicans.

In a video posted by Bally Sports Wisconsin on X:

    “The overall execution was solid.”

According to Prunty, ball movement was one of the key factors to that particular win. The Bucks connected 20 of their 45 attempts from deep, as compared to New Orleans, which only made nine out of 23 three-pointers.

Prunty added that the players go out there and play for one another, which makes the team who they are. He also said that the Bucks’ overall execution was solid.

The proof of Milwaukee’s dominance is definitely seen in the numbers posted by the team’s key players. It’s safe to say Rivers will inherit a team poised to shake things up in the Eastern Conference soon.
