There were fireworks on the basketball court the last time the Milwaukee Bucks faced off against the San Antonio Spurs. Milwaukee secured the victory, 125-121, but it’s hard to deny that the bigger headline was the individual battle between Giannis Antetokounmpo and Victor Wembanyama.
There was a lot of hype leading up to their first-ever face-off, and neither star left us disappointed.
Did Victor Wembanyama Troll Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo?
Wembanyama had another big game on Wednesday in San Antonio’s 130-108 victory over the Detroit Pistons. The 20-year-old made history by becoming the youngest player to ever record a triple-double after finishing with 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.
After the game, Wemby made sure to secure the game ball. He took to Instagram to share a photo of the same, which some fans believe was a bit of a dig aimed at Giannis:

In case you forgot, Antetokounmpo was at the center of a full-blown controversy when the Indiana Pacers took away his game ball after his career-high performance against them. The former back-to-back MVP charged the Pacers locker room to try and retrieve the ball, which up until now, we don’t know if he was actually able to obtain.
A Brewing Rivalry?
Shot or no shot, what you can say for sure is that Giannis vs. Wemby was quite a war. So much so, that fans have been craving for another duel between the pair.
Could this be the beginning of a new rivalry? Some folks seem to believe that this is the case, especially after seeing Wemby supposedly refusing to shake Antetokounmpo’s hand after their last meeting:

No wonder some fans started connecting the dots after seeing Wmebanyama’s game-ball post.
