The Milwaukee Bucks can only go as far as Giannis Antetokounmpo takes them. To a certain extent, Giannis can also only go as far as Khris Middleton takes him.
This elite partnership was on full display yet again on Tuesday night as the Bucks took down the Miami Heat, 131-124.
Milwaukee Bucks HC Adrian Griffin Lauds Giannis, Khris Middleton Duo
Giannis led the charge for the Bucks on Tuesday, but it was Middleton who closed out the Heat with his clutch play — with a lot of help from Damian Lillard as well.
Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin spoke to the press in his post-game availability session and unsurprisingly, the rookie coach had nothing but high praise for his star duo and their unbridled partnership:
“I thought that he and Giannis, you could tell that they’ve been through this once or twice. That chemistry,” Griffin said.
“… I trust them completely. They’ve done some things as far as just reading each other that we’ve never discussed. They just have a connection with each other and you could tell they’ve been together forever. During clutch time, they know what to do. You just trust them. As a coach, you trust them. They’ve rehearsed this play maybe hundred of times. So I completely trust them down the stretch.”
I guess you could say that Adrian Griffin trusts Giannis and Middleton. Completely. Can you blame him?
