The Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo got an early shower in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons. After receiving his second technical foul in the third quarter, Giannis was ejected from the game.

Milwaukee Bucks Giannis Antetokounmpo Ejected
Following a turnover, Giannis took the ball the length of the court and dunked on Isaiah Stewart. He proceeded to give him a short staredown and hit him with the “too small” celebration that has become popular as of late amongst athletes. The refs assessed a technical foul, his second of the game, leading to an ejection. It was a call that was not popular with the home crowd for good reason.
A Dumb Call
What makes sports fun is when players show emotion. Don’t want Giannis to stare you down? Play better defense. Don’t allow a player to take a rebound coast-to-coast for a dunk. An ejection like this is robbing fans of a good time. The NBA is an entertainment product and the referees seem to be actively trying to take the entertainment out of it. While players shouldn’t be allowed to do whatever they want, allowing players to show emotion should be allowed.
Ultimately, a November game is not going to mean much for the Bucks. However, every game counts, and for the fans, not getting to see Giannis Antetokounmpo play the final quarter in a close game is a disappointment.
