The Milwaukee Bucks are still reeling from Wednesday’s stunning blowout loss at the hands of the Toronto Raptors. However, they have no other choice but to get back to the grind ahead of Friday’s matchup against the New York Knicks at the Fiserv Forum.
It is worth noting, however, that Milwaukee was missing their two most important players in practice a day after their second lopsided loss of the season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard Unable to Practice for Milwaukee Bucks
Bucks head coach Adrian Griffin revealed on Thursday that both Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard were not in practice (h/t beat reporter Eric Nehm of The Athletic).
Giannis was reportedly given the day off on Wednesday for rest purposes, but the good news is that he is still expected to suit up on Friday against the Knicks.
Lillard, on the other hand, was excused from practice for personal reasons. However, he too should be available for the New York game.
Griffin also noted that everyone else participated in practice, including Khris Middleton, who is still expected to be on a minutes limit, at least for Friday’s game. MarJon Beauchamp, who missed Milwaukee’s win over the Miami Heat due to an illness but was able to log 16 minutes against the Raptors, was also a participant in practice.
Barring any unforeseen setbacks, the Bucks will be in full force when they host the Knicks at the Fiserv Forum on Friday night. Milwaukee is in desperate need of a win after Wednesday’s shellacking at the hands of the Raptors, and the fact that they’re fully healthy is a right step in this direction.
