The Milwaukee Bucks were supposed to win their fourth straight on Tuesday night and their ninth in their last 10 games. The Chicago Bulls came into the Central Division matchup extremely shorthanded with both DeMar DeRozan and Zach Lavine unavailable due to injury.
The Bulls didn’t get the script, though, and they ended up slapping Milwaukee with a brutal overtime loss, 120-113.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Reacts to Milwaukee Bucks’ Loss Vs. Chicago Bulls
Bucks talisman Giannis Antetokounmpo spoke to reporters after the game, and he was exactly in the best of moods. The former back-to-back MVP dropped a harsh truth bomb on his team after their lackluster performance against Chicago:
“I don’t think we played at our best,” Antetokounmpo said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “We didn’t play at our best. We didn’t deserve to win the game. And sometimes the basketball gods take care of the game, you know what I’m saying? I think Chicago played harder than us, they moved the ball better than us, they executed better than us, they defend better than us. So, they definitely deserved the game more than us.
Giannis finished the game with 26 points on 11-of-17 shooting, to go along with 14 rebounds, five assists, two steals, and five blocks in 39 minutes of play. However, not even another all-around performance from the seven-time All-Star was enough to carry the Bucks.
“We cannot rely on our talent every time, you know?” Giannis continued. “There’s games that we come in and play extremely hard, we execute throughout 48 minutes and put ourselves in position to win, you know? And sometimes you do all that and you don’t win the game. But today I don’t think we put ourselves in position to win.
“I think we were just playing with the game. And sometimes when you play with the game, you lose.”
The Bucks will need to dust themselves off quickly as they look to get back to winning ways on Saturday against the Atlanta Hawks.

That’s not even a truth firecracker. Maybe not even a matchstick.
A truth bomb would be recognizing that Beas and Payne aren’t as good as the young players on Defense.
Of course, then we’d also have to drop the bomb that since a 4 game stretch a few weeks ago, Marjon has completely lost any swagger (maybe because he’s a religious moron who believes he’s some chosen golden child of god). He blew a dunk. He had one blocked from behind in the next game. He then travelled on a breakaway the should have resulted in a dunk. He then caught a pass at the top, hesitated, and should have gone in to dunk, but double dribbled.
He seems to have good handles, but those easy buckets cost the team greatly (they lost 2 of those 4). AND, the worst part is that he seems to have great handles and good passing instincts and skills.
Why can’t he catch the ball and make the easy plays?
Last night he also stopped trying to attack the basket aggressively, and every time he attempted a drive, he re-routed despite little resistance and took the ball back to the top.
I had hopes he would be the next Giannis, but as a guard or small forward.
It’s now looking like he’s a bust as big as Nwora or Rashad Vaughn.
He has all the athleticism of an NBA superstar, but his BB IQ is developing VERY slowly, and his confidence level has fallen to an all time low.
Get it together Marjon. You could be great….
