The Milwaukee Bucks will be playing on the first night of a back-to-back set on Wednesday night when they take on Central Division rivals, the Detroit Pistons. The Bucks will be facing a direly shorthanded Pistons side as Detroit continues to deal with a slew of injuries early on in the season.
Detroit Pistons Missing Key Players Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Sitting atop Detroit’s injury list is veteran swingman Bojan Bogdanovic, who has yet to make his season debut due to a lingering calf injury. Joining him on the sidelines on Monday are fellow veterans Alec Burks (left forearm contusion), Joe Harris (right shoulder sprain), and Monte Morris (right quadriceps strain).
Second-year shooting guard Jaden Ivey is battling an illness and won’t be available as well, while Jalen Duren is questionable to play due to ankle soreness. Finally, forward Isiah Livers remains out because of an ankle sprain.
With so many players out injured, the Pistons will need to rely on the likes of Cade Cunningham, Killian Hayes, and rookie Ausar Thompson to carry them against the Bucks.
Khris Middleton to Sit Out Vs. Pistons
Milwaukee, on the other hand, will be without three-time All-Star Khris Middleton, who will be rested on the first night of a back-to-back. This is all part of the team’s management plan for Middleton’s surgically repaired right knee. He should be back in action on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers.
The Bucks’ three NBA G League/two-way players in Marques Bolden, TyTy Wahsington Jr., and Lindell Wigginton have all been listed as out as well.
