The Milwaukee Bucks are looking for some reinforcement for their squad ahead of the February trade deadline. One player who has been making a lot of noise on the trade market of late is Atlanta Hawks combo guard Dejounte Murray, who incidentally, has also already been linked to the Bucks.
Milwaukee has anything but a clear path to the former All-Star, however, with the Los Angeles Lakers now seemingly close to striking a blockbuster deal with the Hawks.
Milwaukee Bucks Trade Target Dejounte Murray Headed to Lakers?

Murray is a name that has been linked to the Bucks as they look to shore up their backcourt. The summer departure of Jrue Holiday left a gaping hole in the squad, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Murray is no five-time All-Defense guard, but he’s certainly going to be a defensive upgrade for the Bucks in the backcourt.

As the above report indicates, however, the Bucks are far from the only team that has kept tabs on Murray. The Hawks appear to be open to the possibility of moving the 27-year-old ahead of the trade deadline, which has put more than a few NBA teams on high alert.
One of these teams are the Los Angeles Lakers.

As a matter of fact, LeBron James and Co. appear to be on the brink of striking a massive blockbuster deal for Murray. NBA guru Shams Charania recently reported that the Lakers already have an offer on the table:
“It centered around D’Angelo Russell, a 2029 first round draft pick, and a pick swap I’m told. The hold up was that Atlanta wanted to find a third team for D’Angelo Russell,” Shams reported (h/t NBACentral on Twitter).

The Hawks don’t seem interested in the services of D’Angelo Russell, and they are reportedly looking for a third team that would be willing to acquire the 27-year-old in a potential three-team deal with the Lakers.
Given the urgency of the situation, the Bucks will have to act quickly and decisively if they want to have any chance of landing Murray.

Maybe they should be the third team and take Russell if they can’t get Murray.
He’s an upgrade over Cam.
