In case you forgot, the Milwaukee Bucks went toe-to-toe against the Miami Heat this summer for the services of Damian Lillard. Despite the fact that Miami was Dame’s preferred destination ever since he announced his decision to leave the Portland Trail Blazers, the Bucks were still able to steal away the seven-time All-Star from Miami’s grasp.
It now appears that the Bucks and the Heat are in a race for another big-name point guard. At this point, you can be sure that Miami still has that bad taste in their mouth over their botched Dame Lillard trade chase.
Dejounte Murray Linked to Milwaukee Bucks
According to reports, the Bucks have Atlanta Hawks point guard Dejounte Murray on their radar. Milwaukee has been linked to several names in the trade market as the February deadline approaches and Murray is another star that has now reportedly piqued their interest.
NBA insider Chris Haynes recently reported that the Bucks are one of several teams who have registered interest in the 6-foot-5 combo guard:

Given how Milwaukee is short on assets, though, it remains to be seen what type of trade package they can conjure up to try and entice the Hawks to part ways with Murray.
Dejounte Murray to the Heat?
As Haynes indicated, it’s not just the Bucks who are interested in Murray. Multiple reports also state that the Heat are another team that could be planning to make a move on the 27-year-old. Kyle Lowry is the name that is rumored to be the centerpiece of a potential trade package along with a couple of future draft picks.
Conflicting reports, however, indicate that the Heat are not in the market for Murray at the moment:

Similar to the Bucks, it appears that the Heat could be priced out of the Dejounte Murray trade race as well.
For now, another duel between Milwaukee and Miami appears to have been averted.
