It’s not very often that we publish full-blown news articles about one specific in-game play. However, Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard absolutely earned that honor on Tuesday night against the Charlotte Hornets.
The eight-time All-Star busted out one of the toughest ankle-breakers you’ll see this season, which nearly put an end to Cody Martin’s career as we know it.

At the halfway point of the first quarter, Lillard pulled off a seemingly innocuous spin move against his defender. Martin clearly wasn’t expecting it, though, and it ended in catastrophe for the Hornets small forward:

The way Martin was flailing before he so viciously hit the deck feels like a meme in the making. While the means streets of Twitter haven’t been that quick, Lillard’s savagery has garnered more than a few hyped reactions on social media:

Unfortunately for Martin, this is a highlight that we will be seeing over and over again for the foreseeable future.
As for Dame, the Bucks superstar has added another victim to his extensive list of ankle-breaker recipients. Cody Martin did not see this coming, but he is now a member of a not-so-honorable group.
