Despite the fact that Damian Lillard has had an up-and-down start with his Milwaukee Bucks tenure, there’s no denying that the team has missed his services for the past two games.
Giannis Antetokounmpo went off for 89 points over the last two contests without his superstar teammate in the fold but in spite of the former MVP’s heroics, the Bucks have lost two straight sans Lillard.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Probable Vs. Bulls
There’s no guarantee that Milwaukee would have won against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday or the Orlando Magic on Friday if Dame was available for both or either of those contests, but the fact of the matter is that he would have given the Bucks a better chance of succeeding.
The good news for Milwaukee is that they could get the seven-time All-Star back in the mix on Monday when they take on the Chicago Bulls. The team has already released the injury report for Monday’s clash against the Central Division rivals, and fans will be glad to know that Dame has been listed as probable to play.
Lillard has been forced to sit out the past two games with a calf issue, which still remains to be a bit of concern heading into Monday’s contest. However, the fact that he’s been tagged as probable likely means that he will be back in the mix against Chicago.
The Bulls, who are in action on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons, haven’t fared very well to start the season. They are 3-6 heading into Sunday’s contest, and the fact that they will be playing on the second night of a back-to-back set on Monday — in Milwaukee’s home court, no less — means that the Bucks have to be the favorites here.
