You really couldn’t tell if Damian Lillard’s ankle was bothering him on Tuesday night as the Milwaukee Bucks suffered a deflating blowout loss to the Miami Heat, 123-99.
Dame struggled from the field in the loss, shooting just 5-of-14 for 16 points. Then again, Lillard has had his fair share of clunkers this season, so it’s hard to determine if the ankle played a significant role in his lackluster performance.
Whatever the case might be, Lillard will still be nursing the same injury when the Bucks battle the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday night.
Milwaukee Bucks List Damian Lillard on Injury Report Vs. Grizzlies
According to the official injury report, Lillard is considered probable to play in Memphis due to a left ankle sprain. This is the same injury that he has been playing through over the past several games, and for the most part, it doesn’t seem like it has hindered him significantly.
The fact that Dame was also able to play both games of their recent back-to-back set on Monday and Tuesday bodes well for his chances of being available against the Grizzlies.
Be that as it may, we will still monitor Dame’s status moving forward. After all, the Bucks could opt to give their superstar point guard the night off in their final game before the All-Star break against the 18-36 Grizzlies.
