The Milwaukee Bucks snapped their two-game losing streak on Sunday with a massive win against the Los Angeles Clippers. This was the third of four straight road games for the Bucks, and it’s finally great to see them mark their first win on this trip.
The victory was thanks in large part to Damian Lillard, who went off for 35 points on 11-of-19 shooting, seven triples, seven rebounds, and 11 assists in a vintage performance for the eight-time All-Star.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Damian Lillard Reacts to Big Win Vs. Clippers
Shortly after the final buzzer, Lillard spoke to Melanie Ricks of Bally Sports Wisconsin to discuss the win. Dame sounded off on how important this victory was, especially considering how the Bucks were coming off back-to-back losses:
“It was extremely crucial,” he said. “I think we were playing our best basketball of the year for six games. Obviously, we lay an egg in Golden State against a team that’s coming off a bad loss and had a couple of days off. Then you come in against a shorthanded team like the Lakers and you let them get going early and you get yourself in a dogfight on the road against a team with talent. We took an L in that one.
“… (Tonight) it just came down to our discipline and us leaning on the fact that we got a lot of vets. You can’t expect a team to just come out here and lay down. It’s the NBA. … I thought we just weathered a lot of storms throughout the game. When it came time to close it, gets some tops, and execute, we did that.”
"I think we're just getting better and better playing off of each other."

Lillard also noted how Sunday’s contest against a Clippers side that had both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George out injured made their opponents an even more dangerous side because of their unpredictability. True enough, LA would not go down without a fight.
Dame had a lot of help from Giannis Antetokounmpo as well, who flirted with another triple-double after amassing 34 points, seven rebounds, and 10 assists.
The Bucks now get a day off before facing the Sacramento Kings in their final installation of this California road trip.
