It appears that the Utah Jazz have the number of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks had a different head coach in the rematch against the Jazz on Sunday but the result stayed the same, as Giannis Antetokounmpo and company suffered a 123-108 loss in Salt Lake City. It can also be recalled that the Bucks lost to the Jazz at home back in January when Milwaukee was still under Adrian Griffin.
The Milwaukee Bucks Take a Step Back in Loss to Jazz
The Milwaukee Bucks had a 12-point lead to start the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game and looked as though they had the win in the bag. But the Jazz turned the table on Milwaukee and uncorked an incredible fourth-quarter salvo, outscoring the visitors, 40-13. The Bucks struggled to make shots in the fourth and did not seem to have the energy to slow down the Jazz. Their ineffectiveness on both ends of the court in the final 12 minutes of the game might have something to do with fatigue, considering that they just played a night before in Dallas — a detail that was certainly not lost on the Jazz.
“We do know they played last night, so we tried to up the tempo and up the pressure a little bit,” Sexton stated after the game, per ESPN.
Playing back-to-back road games is always a tough scenario for any team, but that still isn’t enough excuse for the Bucks to fizzle out when they had a double-digit lead with only a quarter to go in a contest.
Nevertheless, the Bucks will look to regain their form after resting their bodies on Monday, as they prepare to take on the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
