The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to make it three wins in a row on Monday night when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum. LA is coming off a big win over the second-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, 89-88, and they now hope to mark their second victory in a back-to-back set against the second-seed in the East.
Unfortunately for the Clippers, they will be without one of their key players for Monday’s matchup as Russell Westbrook remains out indefinitely.
Russell Westbrook OUT Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
Westbrook managed just 10 minutes during Friday’s win over the Washington Wizards. The former NBA Most Valuable Player was forced to exit after suffering a left hand injury, which was later diagnosed as a fracture.
Russ sat out Sunday against the Timberwolves and he has now been ruled out again for Monday’s contest against the Bucks.
The Clippers have yet to provide a timetable for the 35-year-old’s return, and this is probably due to the fact that they have yet to determine if Westbrook will need to undergo surgery to repair the injury. This decision will likely dictate how long he will be out, but even if he avoids going under the knife, it is likely that the nine-time All-Star will have to miss several weeks because of this knock.
The good news for the Clippers is that apart from Westbrook, there are no other players on the injury report for Monday’s game. However, with regard to the question of Is Russell Westbrook playing tonight vs. the Bucks, the answer is no.
