The Milwaukee Bucks have made some moves throughout the offseason. They have not been fancy moves by any means. Milwaukee signed Delon Wright and Tauren Prince off the free-agent market.
Those may not be the players that the fanbase dreamed about signing, but some are better than nothing. The Milwaukee Bucks have also yet to trade Brook Lopez, Bobby Portis, Pat Connaughton, or Khris Middleton. In the end, they all may be on the roster for the 2024-2025 NBA season.
General manager Jon Horst has received a lot of criticism from this fanbase this offseason and it has put him on the hot seat. He drafted A.J. Johnson in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft and Tyler Smith in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft. It will be interesting to see whether or not they will both be in the Milwaukee Bucks rotation this season.
Dairylandexpress.com Writer Brian Sampson Thinks That the Milwaukee Bucks Should Sign Cedi Osman For the Veterans Minimum
There is one roster spot remaining on the Milwaukee Bucks. Dairylandexpress.com writer Brian Sampson thinks that the Bucks should sign Cedi Osman for the veterans minimum. Osman was one of 10 choices that Sampson listed for that roster spot.
Brian Sampson talked about the possibility of signing Cedi Osman for the veterans minimum by saying:
“Cedi Osman would give Milwaukee some flexibility to play alongside Antetokounmpo as a small-ball four or slide down to the wing and give them nice size (he’s 6-foot-7 and 230 pounds). He can space the floor some and cut when needed. He’ll also bring the necessary energy as a role player who embraces his role.”
Osman played for the San Antonio Spurs last season. He played in 72 games and averaged 6.8 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 1.7 APG, 0.2 BPG, and 0.5 SPG. Cedi Osman also shot 38.9% from three-point land, 47.9% from the field, and 67.3% from the free-throw line.
He was the 31st overall pick (second-round selection) by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2015 NBA Draft. Cedi Osman has also played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in his NBA career. He started his NBA career with them during the 2017-2018 season.
Cedi Osman made it to the NBA Finals with Cleveland that year before the Golden State Warriors swept the Cavaliers. Cedi Osman has faced the Milwaukee Bucks several times in his NBA career. Having Osman come off the bench for Milwaukee as a scorer would be an ideal fit around Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.
