The streaking Chicago Bulls will be looking to make it five straight wins on Monday when they battle the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum.
Unfortunately for Chicago, Zach LaVine will not be able to suit up as he continues to nurse a lingering foot injury.
Zach LaVine Gets Unfortunate News Ahead of Milwaukee Bucks Game
LaVine has been out of action for Chicago’s last four games, which incidentally, coincides with their four-game winning streak. Before that, the Bulls had lost five straight.
According to LaVine himself, he planned on returning to action last Wednesday against the Charlotte Hornets (h/t K.C. Johnson of NBS Chicago). Apparently, he got a PRP injection in his right foot to help expedite the recovery process. Things did not work out as planned, though, with the inflammation on the right side of his foot worsening.
“You know me, I try to play through anything,” LaVine said.
He ended up missing the Hornets game, as well as Chicago’s win over the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.
It has now gotten from bad to worse for Chicago on the LaVine front. According to a report by RotoWire, a recent re-evaluation of the two-time All-Star’s injury has resulted in a diagnosis that indicates that he will be out for the next 3-to-4 weeks as he recovers from this foot injury.
This means that not only will he be unavailable against the Bucks on Monday, but Chicago will also need to navigate the next few weeks without one of their most important players. Thankfully for them, they have fared quite well so far sans LaVine.
