The Milwaukee Bucks were up by three points with 5.2 seconds left in regulation. They could have fouled the Chicago Bulls to force them to take two free throws, which would have still put Milwaukee in the clear.
Instead, the Bucks allowed Alex Caruso to hoist a contested three, which ended up seeing the bottom of the net. The Bulls forced overtime, where they would outscore the Bucks by seven points en route to a 120-113 victory.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo Speaks Out on Regulation Error
Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was asked to comment on Milwaukee’s crucial error at the end of regulation. Instead of pointing fingers, the former back-to-back MVP pointed out that his team should not have put themselves in that situation in the first place:
“You don’t really know what’s the best thing to do, but at the end of the day we got to that position and we didn’t have to be in that position, in my opinion,” Giannis said, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Rues Milwaukee’s Lack of Effort
The Bucks should have easily won this game. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine were both out of commission for this one with respective injuries. Milwaukee started strong, but the shorthanded Bulls quickly erased their lead.
Antetokounmpo isn’t at all pleased with the effort his team put in on Thursday night:
“If you look at the whole game – we did not deserve to win this game,” he said. “Like, we didn’t play well. We did not respect the game. There was times that we played hard and we were able to get back in the game but at the end of the day we did not have to be in that situation, in my opinion.”
I see no lies here.
