The Milwaukee Bucks will face a tough test on Wednesday night when they take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. The Bucks will be looking to get back to winning ways after their disappointing Christmas Day loss to the New York Knicks, but you can be sure that the Nets will have other ideas in mind.
Nets Take Down Pistons
The Nets have a ton of momentum on their side after their Tuesday night win over the Detroit Pistons. It was a tight encounter that required every ounce of Brooklyn’s tenacity against a Detroit side that wanted to do everything they could to avoid making the wrong kind of history.
The Nets prevailed, though, 118-112, thereby handing the Pistons a record-breaking 27th consecutive loss. It was far from an easy win, and Brooklyn head coach Jacque Vaughn had to give his team their flowers after the hard-fought victory:
“I give our guys an extreme amount of credit,” Vaughn said, via Sportsnaut, “to persevere throughout the course of the night and show composure to make the right plays at the right time and poise. Different individuals throughout the course of the night that made plays.”
Cameron Johnson (24 points, four triples) and Mikal Bridges (21 points, four rebounds) led the charge for the Nets, but four other players scored in double figures in what turned out to be a total team effort for Brooklyn.
Much Tougher Test Vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Nets face an undeniably bigger challenge on Wednesday against the Bucks. They will be playing on a second night of a back-to-back set too, which will require them to dig deep for that extra bit of energy against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the rest of the Bucks.
This will be the second time these two teams battle it out on the court this season, with Milwaukee securing a 129-125 win at the Barclays Center on November 3.
