The Milwaukee Bucks went 1-2 earlier this month with starting center Brook Lopez sidelined. The former All-Star sat out three consecutive games due to “personal reasons,” but the Bucks never revealed the details of what turned out to be quite a mysterious absence for the 35-year-old.
As it turns out, there was one incredible reason as to why Lopez was away from the team for an extended period.
Milwaukee Bucks Star Brook Lopez is Now a Dad
On February 4, Brook and his wife, Hailee, welcomed a bundle of joy into the world. Hailee herself shared the news via Instagram on Wednesday as she posted a photo of their newborn baby boy named Julian Brook:

Congratulations to the lovely couple!
There’s no denying that the Bucks missed Lopez’s services in the three games he was out, but now that we all have a clear picture of what really happened, we understand why Brook had to take time off to be with his wife during this incredible life milestone.
Since becoming a dad, Lopez has averaged 9.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks in four appearances. He’s an integral piece of what Milwaukee is trying to do this season, so let’s just hope he’s able to able to competently balance being a new dad with the demands of being an NBA star.
